Fire Scenes in the Inland Northwest
Great examples of Lean, Clean and Green.

Lean, Clean and Green.  Maintaining a green 30 foot
distance is very important to the survivability of your home.

Reducing the fuel load along the house is important. If there had been fuels other than grass along this house it would have burned. Damage seen was caused from heat of a outbuilding that burned 30 feet away.

With proper landscaping, homes are very durable and even survive when outbuildings with in 30 feet are destroyed.

Flying embers are a major cause to loss of homes due to being blown by fire produced winds. Note fire truck with blowing embers.

Maintaining non-flamable materials around and under decks saves homes.  Note the fire burned right up to the steps and deck.

Fire engines don't always save homes.

Rag mop burned from flying fire embers.

Reducing flammable materials increases survivability of homes.

Are flammable materials cleared from around your fuel tanks?
